We welcome new patients.

For your first visit, we like to see you for at least 30 minutes so we can get to know you and your mouth. This gives us the time to take a thorough medical and dental history. At the examination we check the soft tissues and cheeks and thus screen for oral cancer.

The dental checkup usually involves x-rays (radiographs). Then the dentist will discuss the treatment (if any) that is needed and the various options, including the costs. The treatment will include treatment of the teeth and the gums and advice on homecare that is essential for oral health.

Usually we give you a written treatment plan only if the treatment is complicated or intensive. If you would like a written plan please ask.

We are experienced in dealing with patients who are nervous about seeing the dentist.
