Congratulations on the imminent arrival! Remember to visit your dentist regularly while you are pregnant, as it is important to avoid infections in your teeth and gums. We will keep treatment to a minimum and ensure that you are comfortable during appointments - you may prefer not to lie flat. We offer white fillings so that you do not have to have amalgam fillings during your pregnancy. Changes in the body's hormones during pregnancy can make your gums more likely to bleed as they are more susceptible to plaque. This is called "pregnancy gingivitis".
